older Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and target a broader audience that mightn't be
as familiar with the football games.
Producer Matt Prior told IGN it will be the "most accessible FIFA game we've ever made," by adding new features.
A key inclusion for the casual market and young kids is a two-button control option to help unfamiliar players get into a game and have success — we know young kids want to play but can find it hard to learn the full control scheme.
2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil is its own game, and not DLC for FIFA 14, to appeal to the massive market that only buy FIFA games every four years when the World Cup rolls around.
"As DLC we can’t do it justice and, basically, we want to make this a big feature-rich game and that’s not constrained by things like maximum DLC file-size," said Prior.
Football fans, fear not . "More accessible" doesn't mean you won't have fun. There are a heap of online modes, as well as the chance to take one of 203 teams to World Cup glory and the return of the Captain your Country mode.
The World Cup also provides an opportunity to relive 60 moments of qualifying glory in the Story of Qualifying mode — it will evolve into the Story of the Finals mode once there are real world moments to emulate Fifa 14 coins.
